A year after Ruri's death, unaware of the truth, Mirae still resents Haru, who was with Ruri when she died. On Ruri's anniversary, Mirae visits their old hideout—a place full of memories—and unexpectedly meets Haru. There, she learns Ruri had gone to Itaewon to buy costume materials to surprise her. Through this encounter, Mirae and Haru begin to understand each other's pain and start to heal together.

문래동에 거주하며 음악 작업을 하는 민형은 이곳의 많은 이들처럼 재계약을 하지 못해 이사를 준비해야 하는 처지다. 떠나기 전, ‘문래’를 주제로 작업하던 앨범의 완성도 늦어지기만 한다. 그러던 어느 날, 용접공 지안을 만나게 되고 그녀와 가까워지며 앨범의 마지막 곡을 쓰기 시작한다.

The words I spat out right after my grandpa's funeral tormented her. The violence in my voice disregards her grief and sorrow. I justify that violence. But I want to hide. I call back the words I hurled at my mother and press them onto my face.

Jung Soo-yeon, a first-year elementary school teacher, experiences an absurd situation after school when she gets trapped on the school rooftop by her 5th-grade students' pranks. The children lock the rooftop door, mock Soo-yeon, and leave, and Soo-yeon tries to call for help in the empty school but no one is there.

The narrator writes a letter to the ghost of his grandfather wondering if his recurring childhood nightmare of rusted metallic image is related to the family history. After running a scrap metal factory in Tokyo during World War II, his grandfather ended up in Cheonggyecheon of Seoul where rundown small scale metal workshops still exist amidst the gentrifying city. Drawing clues from fragments of dreams and myths relating to the metal, the film reveals the secret alchemy of third world modernity in Cheonggyecheon where these obsolete hand labors still survive. The film attempts to reveal how we shape the metal through techniques such as sand casting and milling machines, only to find out that metals had already shaped us into beings of an industrial society instead.
